On the third day, I took a train to Dali, a charming town located on the banks of Erhai Lake. The scenery was stunning, and the town was filled with friendly locals and tourists from all over the world. I spent the day exploring the old town, trying local cuisine, and shopping for souvenirs.
Day 4:洱海骑行
On the fourth day, I rented a bicycle and rode around Erhai Lake. The scenery was beautiful, and the fresh air was invigorating. I stopped at a few temples along the way and learned about the local Buddhism culture.
Day 5: Shaxi
On the fifth day, I took a bus to Shaxi, a small town located in the mountains. The scenery was breathtaking, and the town was filled with history and culture. I visited the local market, tried the local cuisine, and explored the ancient town.
Day 6: Lijiang
On the sixth day, I took a bus to Lijiang, a famous city known for its丽江古城. The city was filled with tourists, but the old town was charming and the local culture was fascinating. I spent the day exploring the old town, visiting the local temples, and trying the local cuisine.
Day 7: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain
On the seventh day, I took a tour to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, a famous mountain located near Lijiang. The scenery was stunning, and the snow-capped peaks were breathtaking. I took a cable car to the top of the mountain and enjoyed the views from the summit.
Day 8: Departure
On the eighth day, I departed from Lijiang and returned to Kunming. I spent the day shopping for souvenirs and gifts for my friends and family back home. I also had a chance to try some of the local specialties, such as过桥米线 and 云南十八怪.
Overall, my winter vacation in Yunnan was unforgettable. The scenery was breathtaking, the culture was fascinating, and the people were friendly. I highly recommend visiting Yunnan during the wintertime, but be sure to avoid the scams and tourist traps that are common in many tourist areas. Research the places you want to visit and book your tours and accommodations in advance to avoid being overcharged.
