Today, I arrived in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province, after a long-haul flight from my home country. I was greeted by the pleasant weather and the stunning natural beauty of the city. My first stop was the Green Lake Park, where I enjoyed a leisurely walk surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful flowers. I then checked into my hotel and rested for the evening, eager to explore more of Kunming the next day.
Day 2: Kunming Sightseeing
After a delicious breakfast at a local restaurant, I started my day with a visit to the Stone Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located about 80 kilometers from Kunming. The site features a stunning array of limestone formations, creating a magical landscape that felt like I was in a different world. I then visited the Yunnan Ethnic Village, where I had the opportunity to learn about the diverse cultures and traditions of the various ethnic groups in Yunnan.
Day 3: Travel to Dali
Today, I took a morning train to Dali, a beautiful city located along the banks of Erhai Lake. Upon arrival, I checked into my hotel and immediately went for a walk around the lake, enjoying the stunning scenery and the fresh air. In the evening, I had the chance to try some of the local cuisine, including the famous Dali Bai ethnic cuisine.

Afterward, I visited the Dali Ancient City Wall, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. In the evening, I strolled along the Foreigner Street, where I had the opportunity to interact with locals and other travelers, and try some of the delicious street food.

After a hearty breakfast, I took a morning bus to Lijiang, a city known for its well-preserved ancient architecture and beautiful natural scenery. Upon arrival, I checked into my hotel and rested for a while before heading to the Lijiang Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I explored the cobblestone streets, traditional buildings, and the beautiful bridges over the丽江 River.
Day 6: Lijiang Sightseeing
Today, I visited the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, a stunning mountain range located just outside Lijiang. I took a cable car to the top of the mountain, where I was treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Afterward, I visited the Baisha Mural, a series of ancient murals depicting scenes from daily life and religious rituals. In the evening, I attended a traditional Naxi ethnic show, where I had the chance to learn about the local culture and customs.
Day 7: Travel to Shangri-La
After breakfast, I took a morning flight to Shangri-La, a city located at an altitude of over 3,000 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, I checked into my hotel and explored the city, taking in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the beautiful Songzanlin Monastery.
Day 8: Departure from Shangri-La
Today marks the end of my 8-day Yunnan tour. After a hearty breakfast, I bid farewell to Shangri-La and boarded my flight back home, filled with unforgettable memories and experiences from my time in Yunnan.
